Overjoyed, elated, optimistic

Sorry it’s taken a few days for this to really sink in.

Wow, just wow.

Proposition 8 in California and Proposition 4 in Arkansas brought a bit of a downer to the occasion, but all in all, an amazing day for US politics.

Blah blah blah, excuses about why I haven’t blogged.
Just a quick observation — this is by far the most coverage I’ve ever seen on an election.  And I’m on the other side of the Atlantic.  And haven’t been home since 2007.   I can only imagine what it’s like back in the states.

It’s an interesting experience though, seeing the US election through the eyes of the rest of the world.  If anyone in the US is unsure about our position as a superpower, trust me, we’re still up there.  Every newspaper / news story is leading with the election.   It’s amazing.

Go Obama!
